Hello,
Ive been a fan of Dyson (Eufloria) for a long time now and think this game is really awesome. I downloaded the demo today and it looks and plays great, I love the improvements to the controls as well.
After playing through the first 6 levels I tried the skirmish, it played well however I was confused to find out theres an extra unit (the flowers) ? From what I gather you can use them to improve a defense or seedling tree however I am not sure of some of the rules surrounding this.
1) Why do flowers grow on trees ? Are there any conditions that lead to this or is it just random.
2) What advantage does enhancing a seedling tree give ? I see the seedlings coming off the enhanced tree getting a halo around them but I dont know what the benefit is.
3) Why dont captured flowers provide any benefit ?
I guess this would be explained in the manual in the full game but that sadly isnt included with the demo so I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this.
Looking forward to the release !

1. I think the planet the flower spawns on is random. And i also think that they spawn at certain time intervals.
2. Unsure. Maybe it's an increased spawn rate, or a stat boost to seedlings who spawn off that tree.
3. I think they are destroyed once you capture the asteroid that they are planted on.
These are just my guesses ;). Alex and Rudolf can give you better answers.

1. Flowers spawn randomly on seedling trees. There is no set interval, though I do believe the tree must be matured to a certain stage (simply grown enough)
2. Watch your enhanced seedlings' attack rate :)
3. If a flower is planted next to a tree, that tree will be enhanced. I don't recall right now whether or not a planted flower remains intact upon capture.

Thanks for the response guys, I confirmed the second point after I got the game yesterday :) . I think youre right about the flowers spawning randomly, I have had some asteroids give 2 flowers after I capture it and others give none.
The 3rd point I am not sure on though, in the demo I could certainly capture enemy asteroids which had flowers and they definately gave no benefit. However I got the game late yesterday and only got to level 10 (curse my need for sleep :() and as such I havent had a chance to see whether the full game is any different (I would suspect not but who knows).

4. is it a bug that when sending a flower to an enemy planet it becomes theirs? cause I sent it at first thinking it was some sort of tree control. but no, they get the boost, grow the really powerful three laser flower and destroy my planet

:o Wait, did the flower instantly become theirs? Or did you plant it somehow before you took over the asteroid?
Both of those scenarios don't seem quite correct!

I planted them on their planet.

Yes, I've tested and reported this one.
It's not a bug, if you send and planted your flower on the enemy asteroid - then you really wanted it.
The real bug is that asteroid panel is somewhat borked (plant flower button interferes with text) - but that's a low priority.
