So it would seem, after many -many- hours, and hundreds of games (I put my QX9650 oc'd 4.0 to the test lemme tell ya... hehe...) trying dozens of strategies, etc, a thought occured to me. Why not try it on classic mode?
Apperently, under dynamic mode, the amount of seedlings on a given 'rescue-able' asteroid starts off with only a couple, vs the older, 'classic' mode, starts it off with max.
Bottom line, once I switched to classic, it took one pass of hide and seek, and one pass of badlands, and viola, got the achievement.
Now all I have left, is that pesky stalemate one, any suggestions?

I think I made a map that gave me that one. Or, just keep sending in small waves of seedlings that will not cause any problems to the defender.

see, I wouldn't even know where to begin with making a map, >.> blah

Try the second suggestion then. I think that's how you're supposed to do it - the map one is a bit of a cheat :P
If you do want to try getting into the map-making side, then have a look at the stickies in the user levels board. Annikk.exe has done some good stuff for beginners.

See, even doing it that way, like on harvester, I can't seem to keep the seedlings comming long enough, and the holding a mine around a planet doens't work either. >.>

Does classic mode make any difference to the stalemate achievement? If you really can't do it, I could knock up a map that will either just give it to you, or that provides the conditions to do it.

I know, this thread is old but perhaps somebody reads it. I'm not able to get this freaky stalemate achievement, even with my own maps! Pilchard123, if you're reading this, could you please help me with this? You wrote you could make a map. Any help is much appreciated!! :)
