Title: Art Imitates Nature- Real Dyson Trees

Here are a couple of photos of Quiver Trees from Namibia, Africa.  We just got back from this country in southwestern Africa and as soon as I saw these tree aloes, I thought of Eufloria.  For the botanically inclined, Quiver Trees are Aloe dichotoma; the species name refers to their habit of continually forking into two branches.  They're named Quiver Trees because the San (Bushmen) made quivers from the branches.

I'd love to make the flora in Eufloria a little more diverse and naturalistic. On the other hand it's kind of cool that they look quite robotic as they are...
