Lost Game Progress
« on: June 12, 2015, 05:25:58 AM »
It appears as though I have lost my Eufloria HD save data on Android.
I think the issue that I'm facing has something to do with the Google Play Games app, and the Google Play Games sync feature.

Recently, I had sent my phone, a Sony Xperia Z2 for repair, before I sent it to Sony, I backed up all of my data, including Internal Storage, and SD Card, and then performed a factory reset.

Once, I got the phone back, I did a factory reset on it again, and then restored my data using the Sony PC Companion application.

Once my data was restored, I allowed my Google account settings to re-sync to my phone, which included automatically redownloading all apps from the Google Play Store.

While other app were downloading, I decided to check
Eufloria HD to see if my progress was still there.
Strangely enough, I wasn't signed in to Google Play Games, and the game told me that the Google Play Games app was still I'm my download queue.
So, I logged in to Google Play Games through Eufloria HD, and unfortunately my progress still wasn't there.

I tried a bunch of other games, one in particular was the BeehI've Bedlam.
My game progress was not there before the Google Play Games app had finished updating, but afterwards, it was.

I think that the save games were stored on a Google Play cloud, and somehow I managed to overwrite my Eufloria HD game progress.

Any ideas on what to do?

Can you send that report to the android support guys (it's an external team) and hope they can help. Unfortunately I'm not an Android user and Eufloria was done pre-sync days AFAIK, so I'm not sure how well it's supported in their framework for our title.

I have a horrible feeling there may not be much that can be done but fingers crossed.

Well, unfortunately it seems that I can not get my save progress back.
It is not much of a problem though, I should have no problem starting from the beginning.

Thanks, I appreciate the help anyway.
