Eufloria on Which console IF any
« on: October 29, 2009, 05:53:22 PM »
I personally would like to see Eufloria on the Nintendo DS. since the touch screen ability would work with this game perfectly.
and being a handheld isnt a bad feature :)

I can't really see it working well on anything but a Wii. Maybe on the DS but i just don't think the screens would be big enough for it to work well enough. But hey if it happened I'd buy it!

I can see it working on any console. You would use shoulder buttons to alternate through asteroids, buttons for the different clicking patterns, then shoulder buttons to select an asteroid to move to. Or, perhaps a mouse-like cursor, though I'm not sure that would work too well.

Though, the DS and Wii, with their respective touch and movement controls, would likely run the game best. I think a portable Eufloria would be best, so my vote goes for the DS!

It's not exactly a game I would like to see on a console, since the primary reason I got it was for the lua capabilities.

I concure on the fact that i can hardly imagine Eufloria on a console since the input is for the most part mouse-based. So the DS (touchscreen) or the Wii (pointing with Wiimote) would be the only consoles getting somewhat close to that.
Using cursor-control via the D-pad on other consoles is rather tedious and increases your reaction time a lot.

What makes you think they'd have to stick to cursor control? They could use one analogue stick for selecting asteroids, the other for selecting seedlings. The d-pad could be tree building and flower planting. It would work better than a lot of other games I could think of.

Anyway I think it'd work best on DS.

I would buy it for the DS hands down. The DS does suffer from a lack of good games anyway. The ratio of good games to bad on the DS is much greater than the other consoles.
