Ok, I've been working a little, but not much... But I've been working on a campaign, it's not fully done yet, but I can't wait anymore and need to realease it as it is, the maps seem to be pretty ok and easily beatable once you know how to work your way around the AI... So I guess this is an open beta-testing :)
Download the RAR and extract it. Now you may play all or one map and please feedback! I really need feedback, please (just make an account here on the forums if you don't have one)
What I need feedback about:
- Was it easy/fair/hard to play through the maps?
- Any idea for new maps for this campaign?
- Any bugs or errors concerning the maps?
- Quality of the gameplay?
Thanks for any support you've done!
By the way, order of the maps in the campaign:
1: Hostile Sector
2: Colonising War
3: Infection
4: ?? Need ideas for new maps, I'd love to continue this series
Note: The maps actually contains my new AI, so just extract them out of there and put it in your map. It'll learn you map automatically just like IAI :)

But, Aino, would you please care to tell us in which order to play the maps?
- Colonising Wars.lua
- Hostile Sector V2.lua
- Infection.lua

Finally got to play these maps, after a pause of almost 5 months …
Very enjoyable, I think I took about 30 minutes for each map.

Do you have any further suggestion for maps? Which will use different custom Engines or something? Just tell me info and what the map consist of and I'll make it :)
Maybe something like this:
- Name
- How it looks like(a picture would be great!)
- Anything that will happen during gameplay, any events?
- What makes this map different from the normal campaign maps? (different custom engines/AIs or so?)

Ouf, Aino, I’m SOOO totally unimaginative when it comes to such things. I’m not as unimaginative when it comes to texting and designing print stuff, but here … sorry.
I guess you’ll get more ideas just by playing all those other user-made levels. And certainly those code portions by Annikk.exe, Pilchard123, AWS and others could also “pollinate” you with more ideas for extravagant maps.

I'm always inspired by nature at some point... Only a few times I've been inspired by maps and games...

Nature? I’m a hobby beekeeper … Queen bee, Worker bees, Drones … every year the hive splits into two or more … the old Queen bee flies away w/ the flying worker bee personnel to found a new colony and leaves the old hive to the new Queen bee with younger workers which soon also will begin to fly and forage for nectar and resin … possible to do something with this?

What do you suggest me to make out of it? Some kind of orange bar on each planet, it's consumed faster the more trees you have and when it's empty the trees won't make
saplings(it's seedlings, been playing too much Minecraft xD)? :P Wow, that was just randomly thought out :D

I’m sorry, Aino, I was diverted and didn’t really pay attention … well, it’s very different from your campaign, perhaps no, doesn’t suit the campaign.
So … perhaps, if the campaign is to build up from 1 to x, then perhaps make the maps larger in succession, or make the gameplay harder … perhaps with some kind of puzzling stuff … I remember that I ambivalently liked (because of the challenge) and hated (because it made it harder) the fact that in “Rings” some asteroids had very large send distances, so while progressing with strong armies I also had to keep enough armies at home for defence …
<sigh> my mind is going ;)

Making a new map, won't tell anything else than that you fight against my AI only :P
This map will change everything with the campaign I hope, It's supposed atleast! (Can't promise, sry :S)
EDIT: Nah... theres a stupid crash bug with RemoveSeedlings() so it won't work... So I must think of something new...
