[Map]The Broken Belt
« on: May 11, 2011, 06:12:27 AM »
Prepare, to meet the aliens yet again, but now they are more furious and angry than ever. They'll crush you and your foolish army within seconds, unless... you beat them.

Anyways, I hope the map will be decently hard. My beta tester(had severral, but they aren't responding :/) said that it was very hard the first time. The AI have been upgraded and will crush you unless you crush them.

To the info, more systematic:
- Hard and long map
- Non-linear
- Includes Alien AI V1.1
- Partially big map

Good luck and have fun playing it, and please report any bugs :)

By the way, if you wonder why I have removed flowers: This map is purely skill testing, you must fight with pure strategy, no luck :)

Based on your previous productions, I found it, well, disappointing.
On first tried I was crushed by the flow of enemies.
I switched to overly aggressive, massive army style on second try and very easily overwhelmed the enemy.
It was tedious but not difficult or satisfying.
On first try I had good hopes because it seemed like you'd have to fight on several fronts and choose where to send more seedlings. It seemed like an interesting process but then it resolved to a traditional map setting.

Thanks for respond, well... The map is pretty easy to defeat once you know how... My AI has it's flaws for a reason :)

But how do I make it exciting and satistfying? Respond and I'll do my best on the next map... Got some ideas flying in my head already :)

If you could have the same AI with a general arrangement that shapes in some kind of cross or star, with enemies attacking from each direction at different times, it would be awesome.
A bit like Hide and Seek, but if you prepared yourself well you'd have enough strength to fight one team after another.
See what I mean?

I just played the level and enjoyed it. I was aggressive and overwhelmed them pretty easily, but enjoyed it =)
