Complete UI phailure
« on: October 27, 2009, 03:56:05 AM »
Just bought it, and most of the text in the menus is missing or the same color as the background.  I went into the options to see if there was anything I could do about it, but I couldn't see anything other than the slider bars.  What the hell?  What should I do?  If there is an option you suggest changing, please give me a screenshot so I can try to click the right places.  The main menu works, and so do a few buttons like "OK", but no other text.  Are the menu boxes supposed to be plain white?  Also, it makes any other programs lag pretty badly.  It's way worse than many more complicated games I play.  I'm kind of annoyed now.  I've played some buggy games, but Dyson has never been on par in that respect with other projects on the same scale.  And now I've gone and paid twenty bucks, and it's got such a basic problem that I can't even see if it was worth it.
I'm running Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Dual Intel Pentium T2390 1.86ghz processors
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family, driver version 7.14.10.1329

EDIT: attempting to update my driver, but it's being a ROYAL pain in the ass and has taken me more than an hour to find the right file because Intel appears to no longer support my exact chipset.  There's another problem that seems to be linked to my driver and chipset (from experience with another game), so maybe both will be fixed.

Hello Mr. Frank,

the problems you mention are meanwhile well-known and Alex and Rudolf are working heavy duty to clear them out. Check a the other threads in this board ... esp. this post; bug reports began coming in fast as soon as the new demo was out ... and then there's this post where Alex explains the current road map, what they're going to patch and wjaz priorities there are in repairng things.

Cheers, Tom
