Custom Music and Colour options
« on: April 04, 2010, 01:13:27 AM »
First of all, thanks to one and all for this lovely game. hours of good serene fun.

Ive been reading through some threads about making maps etc but see nothing about 2 things that i think are worth touching upon -
1- is it possible to add your own music to the selection?  i have quite a bit of chilled/ ambient music that i think would work nicely ingame. is it as simple as just putting a music file in to a certain folder?
2- i see some people's pics that have custom colours for their planets. how do i change from the default blue to something more... interesting? i presume this is a very simple matter of changing a line of code - any help? (this is different from changing the background colour, which i read about)

as a side note... is there a single place on the forum that lists all available user maps, like 'user made maps' section. it would make finding custom made maps that much easier.

;)

The board User levels and modifications does indeed make finding custom maps easier ;)

Glad you like the game!

You could turn off the music in the options menu ingame (Toggle music off), if you are in the mood for something else (crazy talk!), and just play your own choices through whatever media player you use. I am doing this right now with Aquaria. :-)

The colour coded asteroids are switched by turning on "team colours" in the same menu
