Okay, do this quickly:
- Add a Dyson tree on your starting roid (first roid)
- Move EVERYONE up to the next roid (second roid)
- Dyson 2 trees
- Send EVERYTHING you have to the roid on the left from second before sundown (third roid)
- Quickly make 1 Defense tree. If you have leftovers, 1 more Dyson tree could help
Sit the night out, build all Dyson trees on your third roid at the next day (you should have 1 defense 3 Dyson here), and Dyson everything on your other 2. Keep amassing your troops FROM the first roid TO the second roid so that you have an army to defend the second roid.
Taking the third roid is important, as it is the strongest in your starting area. The earlier you have strong seedlings, the better you can fend off an attack and last longer in an assualt.
After doing the above, build up your forces slowly. Remember to send more than their current amount in their roid (even more for those with Defense trees), but keep in mind to have a backup team of more than 100 to fend off an attack should the enemy goes in to attack your roid.
Your first flower should be spent on a Defense Mine at the third roid. Use it against roids with no defense trees to reduce their numbers, or alternatively send it with the attacking squad to back-up your attack.
Always have a universal view of what is going on.

PS: They have loads of mines patrolling their area. Try to use your own mines to destroy their Defense tree flowers to prevent them from making more, as much as you want to capture their mine-making facility. Should they attack your flowers with their mines, try your very best to save your flowers, as they can't regrow once bloomed (unless you grow a new Dyson tree)
PPS: know when to lose your roids. If they attack just before night, don't panic. Losing weak roids is okay, but when it's a strong roid, stop some attacks and try to save it.
To prevent or increase your chance of winning from evening attacks, have key roids supplied with seedlings. Check their sending range and see if some your roids are out of reach. In that case, you can afford to leave it open.
