Total number of Seedlings on an asteroid?

Hey all.

What is the total limit of seedlings that can be gathered on one asteroid?

An asteroid will continue producing seedlings until there are 32 in orbit around it, but there's no limit (that I'm aware of) to the number of seedlings you can gather at a single asteroid.

There is a limit you can gather per asteroid, and I believe it is goverened by the same thing that governs the size of the asteroid.

EG - Smaller asteroids have a lower limit than higher asteroids.

Example:  Small asteroid - Gather 800 Seeds  Large Asteroid - Gather 960 Seeds

Interesting and good to know. I've only played, never play-tested the game so I've never gathered quite that many around a single asteroid

I don't believe there is a real limit to the max number of seeds you can have on one asteroid.  But there is a max number before you can't BEGIN to send any more.  That number always seems to be 500.  If there are 500 or more seeds on an asteroid, it just won't send more.

i have once had 640 or something on it but it think it really depends on the size of the planet at least i don't think it is always the same cause sometimes it already stoped going there when i was at like 550 or something so i think it isn't really that can't begin sending it is that they just won't go there

If you have a bunch of large armies and send them to the same asteroid all at once, you can beat the limit. That's a bug - I might fix it... maybe one day...

It's a picky bug... I've not noticed any consistency with how many it will actually send.  Sometimes it will send all the seedlings, giving an asteroid 1000+ with large multi-armies.  Other times it starts peetering out at random (completely random as far as I can tell, related to the slowdown in seedling command when large armies are present) and stops sending them.  This can be seen on the same level, same asteroid, with it only sending 700 or so, then I come by later and it will take up to 1000 before stopping.

Whenever I do this it eventually stops working if I gather over 1000 seedlings. At that point it'll send 1000 seedlings over and any leftover ones will remain where they were.

It happened to me, with +700 seeds.
