Title: DMM - Not an Black Background?
Post by: Harsha on March 26, 2010, 10:01:25 PM
The background color of the DMM is actually supposed to be black right?? But whenever i play i get it dark redish color. This happens only in my laptop and not in my desktop and this was happening even when in older versions.

My Laptop specs are:

Quote
Lenovo 3000 Y410 7757-63Q
T2330(1.6GHz)
1GB RAM
14.1in 1280x800 LCD
Intel X3100
Windows Vista Home Basic 32 SP2

Nope, it's meant to be very dark in some shade of colour :)

Could it perhaps be that you have different Colour Management settings on both computers?

That which i din't think of. Maybe that would be the problem. I went to the Color Management Settings in my laptop, but not able to any changes. Do you exactly know what to do there?

:! I'm sorry, I fear one of the more Windows-savvy folks here will have to help. I'm on a Mac and I'm running Windows in a virtual machine.

Anyway, in my Vista Colo(u)r Management preference panel there are three tabs at the top (Devices, All Profiles, Advanced (my Translation from a German Vista)), and in the All Profiles and Advanced tab you should be able to change sth. Just it doesn't change anything on my virtual machine, these prefs are probably overriden by Parallels Desktop, the virtualization software I use to get Windows on my Mac.

<edit>

Perhaps you could just fumble a bit w/ the Contrast and Brightness buttons, given that your laptop has such?

Oh okay. I don't know what to do around in Vista. In XP there were many contrast and RGB colour changing options though. Thanx anyways :)
