Enemy enhanced seedlings.
« on: October 25, 2009, 01:26:43 AM »
On the first arena level, as well as on some story levels, I have noticed that even though my opponent has a flower next to a Dyson Tree, the seedlings are not glowing and I think they are not enhanced, either... :-\

Enemy seedlings never get enhanced by planting flowers. I see them often planting the things in the middle of the map, and yet the seedlings are never enhanced. Also means that when I conquer the asteroid with those trees I don't get enhanced seedlings either from those trees. Sometimes I also see them planting several flowers on the same trees, probably because the ones planted before simply aren't registered.

Enemies planting flowers on defence trees works fine, though, as my armies decimated by their laser mines can state. :(

Yes, please fix the flowers.

If a dyson tree has a flower, then it should produce enhanced seedlings. Period. Doesn't matter if it's my tree, or an enemy tree, or if I have taken an enemy asteroid. If there's a flower, it should work. (same for defense trees)

This seems always to happen when there is an asteroid that's conquered along with a flower. The flower changes color but is rendered obsolete.

The new patch fixed the problems with the flowers, now the AI will use the flowers on defense trees and they will continue to work for anyone who caputures the asteriod and will continue to create laser mines if the mine was destroyed.  It's all perfect.  The only thing that would improve upon this is to have the AI actully use the flowers on regular trees.  I notice that they will just hold teh flowers until they have an open defense tree to use it on.  I even found an asteriod with five flowers on it, that were just floating because the AI had no defense trees (the pic attached).  If you guys could fix this, it would be perfect!

OK good news on the fix. Was that on a level where you're not allowed to plant flowers on dyson trees though?

Yeah, instead of planting flowers on dyson trees and having them do nothing, I've found that they just never plant on dyson trees.  I see what you did there.  Awaiting proper fix, because the abundance of laser mines is really pissing me off.  I hate those things.
