Eufloria - Map-Creator (Vb.NET 2.0!) - Map: Exumina

Hi There.

I have created a Eufloria-Map-Creator. Easy with Mouse create a Map. Draw Asteroids and change the infos about it. Some configurations avaiable.

But: the Creator is very busy and slow. (By Drawing the preview).

Next time i loading up a demo. (maximum 5 Asteroids can be build!) The full Version will cost 2 € (Euro) (german).

won at first attempt. It was quite challenging from beginning to mid-play, then it was mostly amassing great armies, throwing them at the enemy, and waiting for those high energy asteroids to die.

I will not (yet) add this map to the list because I consider it experimental. E.g. it does not end … after taking all enemy asteroids I had to quit the game.

Likes:
- challenge at the beginning

- different number of allowed trees per asteroid


Dislikes:

- unbalanced size/energy/speed/strength specs. This may be a personal dislike … I for one prefer it if an asteroid’s size (approximately) tells something about its specs.

- those asteroids with HUGE life energy turned the end game into a mere wait while continuously sending armies, knowing that there were no more enemies.


But anyway, it’s a good start to make something from it.

Ich habe Deine Karte gespielt und beim ersten Versuch gewonnen. Sie war vom Anfang bis zur Mitte des Spiels recht herausfordernd, von da ab musste ich nur noch große Armeen sammeln und auf den Feind werfen, während ich darauf wartete, dass die Asteroiden eingenommen waren.

Ich werde sie (noch) nicht zu »meiner« Liste der User-Karten hinzufügen, weil ich finde, dass sie noch im Experimentierstadium ist. Z.B. hat sie anscheinend keine End-Bedingung — ich musste das Spiel selbst beenden, nachdem alle Asteroiden erobert waren.

Was ich mag:

- die Herausforderung am Anfang

- unterschiedliche Zahlen von erlaubten Bäumen pro Asteroid


Was ich nicht mag:

- Unausgewogenheit von Größe/Lebensenergie/Schnelligkeit/Stärke bei den Asteroiden. Dies kann eine persönliche Abneigung sein, ich jedenfalls ziehe vor, wenn die Größe eines Asteroiden (annähernd) etwas über diese Werte aussagt.

- diese Asteroiden mit irre hoher Lebensenergie, da musste ich nur noch warten, während ich dauenerd Armeen von hinten nach vorne holte, ich wusste ja inzwischen, dass keine anderen Feinde mehr da waren.


Aber immerhin ist dies ein guter Anfang, aus dem Du sicher etwas machen kannst.

What it does:
- Creating a Map by WYSIWYG
- Set a few params for all asteroids as same or as random.
- Set the Seedlings for each asteroid
- Set the maximum trees for each asteroid
- Set the range and the radius for each asteroid
- Set the trees on each asteroid
- change name of each asteroid
- change owner of the asteroid (incl. "none")
- export as lua-file
- - automatic includes a win-lose-function and a start-message

what will come
- set background of map
- set custom start message
- set custom win message
- set custom lose message

You need the .net framework 2.0 to use this tool!!!

- Erstellen einer Karte im WYSIWYG-Modus
- Einige werte für alle Asteroiden gleich oder zufällig übernehmen
- Seedlings für jeden einzelnen Asteroiden ändern
- Maximale Anzahl an Bäumen für jeden einzelnen Asteroiden ändern
- Reichweite und Radius für jeden einzelnen Asteroiden ändern
- Gepflanzte Bäume für jeden einzelnen Asteroiden ändern
- Name für jeden einzelnen Asteroiden ändern
- Besitzer der Asteroiden ändern (Inklusive "Niemand")
- Als lua-Datei exportieren
- - Fügt automatisch eine Gewinn-Verlieren-Methode hinzu

Was noch kommt
- Hintergrundfarbe der Karte bestimmen
- Eigene Start-Meldung festlegen
- Eigene Gewinn-Meldung festlegen
- Eigene Verlier-Meldung festlegen

Man benötigt das .net Framework 2.0, um das Programm zu verwenden

Entschuldigt die langsame Handhabung des Tools. Es ist eben vb.net

Since this is no longer available, you could try my take on this, RoidForge.

Doesn't have support for custom win and lose messages and stuff (you can add those yourself!), but it does output playable levels and itself is just a level you can "play" in Eufloria.
