Mid-Game Save and Level Reset
« on: December 13, 2009, 11:32:23 PM »
I'm about halfway through v2.02 and have a couple of questions:

You cannot quit mid-game and come back to where you were in that level, correct?  If I read the UI right you start over in that level.

Is there any way to reset the level list to start the game over from Level One without the little completed icons?  I ask because sometimes when I'm done I like to start a fresh game.  The level status is saved somewhere because when I uninstalled the demo and installed the paid version, my progress showed up as before.

BTW:  A feature request-  Please fix the bug requiring sound devices to be enabled.  As I mentioned in another post, I have a netbook with marginal specs, and running Eufloria keeps my CPU at or near 100% a good part of the time.  With speakers enabled, audiodg.exe uses a good percentage of the CPU, so I'd like to run it with them disabled to give the game some more 'space.'  I've already trimmed almost everything else I can, and Windows 7 seems to run fewer background processes and services.

Great game- thanks!

Yes, you can reset one level or all your game progress.
Open with Win Notepad this file: ../Eufloria/Resources/user.settings
There you can find a lot of things, but you need edit these lines:
    <dir name="LEVELCOMPLETEMASK" type="int" value="0" />
    <dir name="LEVELCOMPLETEMASK2" type="int" value="0" />
    <dir name="LEVELPROGRESS" type="int" value="0" />
    <dir name="LEVELPROGRESS2" type="int" value="0" />

All you need to do is set the "int" value to "0" or set the number of level.
