Seedlings Maximum Growth Per Asteroid

I'm looking for an answer to how many seedlings will grow on an asteroid untended (without moving any out or in).  It seems to be (10*# trees), though I don't know if that is the maximum trees or the planted trees.  Also, I seemed to notice that as they were approaching that maximum the growth rate slowed noticeably.  Getting to 25 on a 4 tree rock was stead, but from 35->40 seems to be a very slow process.

I thought that there was a script you could edit to say what the maximum number of seedlings on a roid was, and that no new seedlings could be created if the max was met or exceeded on the roid...

Yes, it's dependent on the level. Sometimes it's 32, sometimes 35, sometimes 40... sometimes more!
