Spawn Speed
« on: February 06, 2009, 01:48:04 PM »

I feel all asteroid grows trees and seedlings at same speed.
This translate to some asteroid spawning strong seedlings
become extremely useful for human players in current single mode.

      Growth Power
If we can attribute different growth speed for each asteroid,
we can nerf down the human advantage and force player to
      use strong seedlings more carefully.

      New Situation
Also, we can create situation like
-an asteroid which create lots of small and weak seedlings veryquickly.
-an asteroid which create very big and powerful seedlings but with
        limited frequence.

I am all for this. I really want the small planets to have some kind of tactical advantage. they have lower skills, but if small planets created new seedlings really fast, that could be a huge advantage tactically. You could also adjust the seedling cap on the small planets so that they can produce more before having to stop.

Actually they don't. The speed attribute impacts the production speed of seedlings.

EDIT: No wait, we haven't implemented this yet, I am wrong! DOH!

We have discussed it but never tried it out.. May do so soon then, thanks for the poke :-D
