« on: December 31, 2011, 03:48:49 PM »
What would happen if the enemy seeds had a powerfull weapon?
Can you beat the Ray of the Death?
-----------------------

Instead of giving explanations, is how i use to say: Is better play to see.

*This is my favorite map i ever made. (for while... :) )
*Difficult: May change cuz the several asteroids are created with random attributes. The overal difficult is medium
*AI: Defaut with a small-tiny-short-little help - 99.9% default AI
*Report bugs and sugestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Ahh! Happy New Year !!!

Woh, you're fairly churning these out, aren't you! I haven't been able to play any of them, but from the responses you've got, they seem popular.

You're really spoiling us with all these great new maps. I can see why this is your favorite so far. It is not too difficult nor too time-consuming, and has an interesting premise and nice effects.  My only suggestion would have been to make the Death Ray asteroid and it's "destruction" the final destination, rather than an intermediate waypoint to the endgame.

Thanks for the entertainment!

I guess you have many more maps to come, so why don't you just make a topic that includes all the maps? Like Annikks Engines topic or mine? It's much cleaner and you only need to visit one topic to find what you need.

Although these maps sounds awesome, I don't have much time testing them out :(

Simply epic. Can't think of any other definition.
Your imagination is really awesome.

Uhm… @Aino: I for one think the way j_luisrf does it is perfect—after all his/her maps are … maps (haven’t found the time to play them yet, though, so I can’t say anything about them), and methinks one map -> one thread is fine for this. As I understand it these maps are NOT snippets of code or some proof-of-concept things, at least not in the first place.

Yes, but it's nice to manage all of the maps in one thread, it's much more pleasing to the eye in my opinion :)

ahh! Warning!! googlish below:  ;D

After the second map, I really thought I'd create a topic unique to them.
However if I do this, how will people know that there is a new map?
I would have to create a new topic for each telling that was included new map in the main topic.
Doing the accounts is the same ...

Another thing is that my vacation ended :'( then i will not post new maps for while...
In the future, when i post more maps, i will create a unique topic for files be together.

How to let them know is simple, just reply on it. Rules aren't such a hassle here, like bumping threads or anything.
In that thread you can have everything you like to write, like a development blog, ideas for maps(I guess you got tons :)) and the maps themselves. You can certainly also add small code snippets you created and use(if you've done any of that :P)

Atleast I see it as useful, I think it's better to give the visitor more access by adding everything into one thread instead of multiple where he/she has to search for them individually :)

Aino, may I remind you of this thread … and of the fact that nearly all new maps have been introduced in their own respective threads?

IMNSHO this is the way to do it, and I see no use in changing this. I think that every new map deserves its own new thread, and I also think this way is much clearer, if you look in this board … nearly every map developer has also made it clear in their thread titles when they posted a new map.

I’d definitely prefer if we kept it the way we did it in the past years.

But … well … I’m just one voice here, so this will probably be the last words I’ll spend on this topic ;)

TBH, I'd probably prefer a release topic for each map as well. You can talk about individual maps better.
