Jamis: Level6.level - The Grand Melee!

The Grand Melee!

Many asteroids with many enemies that attack right away.

Trees are cheap to make, have high points, grow fast, but they are limited in numbers.

Defensive trees have been hugely upgraded in strength.  Do not underestimate them.

I have also included in the .level file all available options from the debugging menu that I could find.  So, feel free to start doing your own tweaking and posting your own levels.  (For those that don't know, just open the .level file with a text editor and start tweaking.  Save your level, then load up Dyson and get seeding.)

This board is as close to a random map generator that I could make.

It's a quick and fast level.  If you're not aggressive enough, you'll get overpowered.  One thing I liked about this level was that there are many instances of more than two factions on an asteroid at once.  Also, attacking an asteroid that has a high speed stat and a number of defense trees is fun to watch.  Not fun for your seedlings, however. :(

great level, thanks. One thing i noticed though is in the image attached, there are four kinds of seedlings and it seems that we're getting along pretty good, however we find it hard to agree on furniture in our new empire, so we just keep flying to and fro. Later on I sent 50 seedlings more. They fired a shot each at arrival and then realized it's easier to live and let live too. I couldn't say I oppose the idea, though :) just a bug i guess.
EDIT: oh and it's all in linux, btw

Well, I messed with the settings to get a real Grand Melee!

Otherwise, I really liked the map, but you do have to keep moving.

For the Ranged or Melee section you can add that the Minotaurs on the first floor of the Stronghold of Security is a good way for lower levels to get a good amount of Iron Arrows. Theyre level 12 and only have 10 hp.

Hmm, I tried this level and I didn't see a single enemy faction.  And then after I took something like 10 asteroids the game ended and said that I won.
