Heavy lags

Hi, I want to at least see what Dyson is, but there is a problem on my way. The game shows a framerate even lower then 1 fps, and, hell yes, my PC perfomence is a bit higher then the one mentioned in the rquirements I'm using Windows 7 Pre-RC1 057 build. If the problem is in the OS, than just say it and I'll stop trying to play.

It should work fine under windows 7, but the visual styles in 7 can slow things down - try switching to fullscreen (alt-enter) and see if that improves things. Also you could try updating to the latest 7 beta build (7000 i think?). I've tested it on 7 x32 and x64, so it should be OK provided you've got the latest drivers and a decent video card. If you can post your specs that would help a lot

Ah, I've made a mistake, my build is 7057, that's the latest one. My specs:
Intel Pentium 4 3,6 Ghz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Sapphire ATI readeon X1800 512 Mb
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4; A shame, but I don't remember what motherboard I have.

Fullscreen-mode seems to help a bit, maybe gives 1-2 fps. The drivers for graphics card are up to date. If it works fine for you, then I guess it's something special in my build.

That really should be fine - I wonder if it's the latest version of windows 7 at work there. I'm afraid I don't have any ideas right at the moment and we're gonna be really busy this week with the GDC etc. so we will probably resume this next week some time.

Windows 7 RC 1 (Build 7057) here as well, getting tremendous lag.

Specs if they help:

Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz
4Gbs DDR2-800 OCZ Platinum (4x1Gb) 5-5-5-15
GTX260 216-core
Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer
eVGA 680i Ultra motherboard

So I think it's indeed the OS, I've tried running it in XP/Vista compatibility but it made no difference. I also tried using the Windows 7 beta display drivers and the Windows Vista WHQL drivers. Fullscreen also makes no difference.

I use Windows XP and I never have lags in the game, even if I have 1000 Seedlings on everyplanet

My PC:

Q6600 (4@2,4Ghz)
Nvidia 8800 Ultra
4GB Ram
