Brilliant Idea for iphone/touch port
« on: December 29, 2009, 10:07:53 PM »
Hey people, I was just playing the game and I had my ipod touch next to me, and something happened, I got the idea that a port to the iphone/ipod touch would be EPIC, think about it, you could move like you usually do, move your finger up and down to zoom in/out double tap to select an astroid and move seedlings, you could then drag it like you normaly would to another astroid! Have you guys put any thought into this?

We have actually, in fact we have spoken to many people about doing a port but nothing has come of it yet.
So far it is best to look at it as a "maybe". :-)

This would definitely work great on the iPhone, it's just the right sort of game.

I'm strictly against ANYTHING that is primarily (meaning that certain aspects of the program would NOT be available for people with out said device) for a portable device simply because I'll personally never own one... ^-^ NOW that I'm done hating...

How about a mode that looks for others playing, or who HAVE the app near by, and allows you to send a challenge to those people for a battle (king of the hill or CTF mode) or a 'Deep Space' mode, where you build up you collection of roids over time, and as you travel (or as others move around you) another persons roid collection 'wanders' into your territory, then you could battle for their roids... perhaps when there are none near by, it automatically goes into sleep mode... then when someone is near by, the mode icon flashes red...
