Title: Can't change the number of seedlings to send in send mode - iPhone

I have Eufloria on my iPhone and am having trouble changing the number of seedlings to send while in Send Mode. I keep dragging my finger around the dial, but I end up just panning around the screen and the dial just keeps the total number of seedlings on the asteroid selected. I was wondering if it's something that I'm doing wrong or if there's a bug. I've already tried deleting and reinstalling the game and restarting my iPhone with no success. Is there anything else anybody can suggest?

You can only do this from part way through level 3. Perhaps that's the problem?
