Crash on Startup

OK, having played this game on my brothers machine, I moved to my own, installed, yet when I came to run it, having just clicked the .exe, I was presented with an error.

AppName: dyson.exe      AppVer: 1.0.0.0     AppStamp:49ddd556
ModName: atioglxx.dll      ModVer: 6.14.10.8543      ModStamp:49a5b820
fDebug: 0       Offset: 0051a66e

ATI Driver OpenGL error?
Driver is the Most up-to-date i can get for AGP cards, as the legacy support has been shelved by ATi (9.3 Catalyst and equivalent driver)
Hardware
9800 Pro 256MB (AGP 8x, 4MB AGP Apature)
2.6GHz P4 w/HT, Intel D865GVL Mobo, 2048MB DDR400 RAM, 250 GB + Free Hard Drive

Had lots of reports of errors with ATi hardware - sounds like a likely culprit. Can the machine run other OpenGL demos / apps?

Hello,

I am getting the same problem with Dyson crashing immediately after I open it.  The Dyson troubleshooting page instructed me to download GPU Caps Viewer to see if I have a video card that is capable of rendering vertex arrays in OpenGL.  I downloaded the program but I am still not sure if my computer can render vertex arrays in OpenGL.  Is there something in particular I should look for, or might the problem lie elsewhere?  Thanks

Edit: When using GPU Caps viewer, I am unable to run every OpenGL demo with the exception of the cel shading one.  I assume this has something to do with Dyson's crashing.  Is there any way to fix this, or do I simply need a new graphics card?

Do you know what graphics card you actually have? You can find out using System Info (start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system info).

I believe my display device/ graphics thing is a an ATI Radeon X1270 with driver version 7.01.01.613.  Is that what you're looking for?  Thanks

SimonP: Try getting the latest drivers for your card. This may or may not be the right one: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.6&lang=English

I have an ATI Radeon X1270 on my laptop too, and the game crashes at start.

My driver is up to date : 7.14.0010.0487

I have no problem on my desktop's Sapphire RADEON X1600 XT.
