Title: No achievement file created, I don't know what to do
Post by: Hopeseeker on July 31, 2010, 01:07:09 AM
I just downloaded the patch 2.05
Everithing is fine, except for the achievements. The window "Achievements" does appear in the main menu, but if you click it you see only the pictures of the achievements, and no description.
The time for the single levels is not recorded, also.
II went in the Eufloria folder in my pc and I can find user setting file and "stats.bin" file, but no "achievement.bin" file
Tried to reinstall the game and the patch, with no success...

I'm running the game on Windows 7 Home edition 64 bit if this can help...

I have news. I understood that the problem is in my "user" and "stats.bin" files.
I tried to install the game from scratch, then applied the patch, and everything seems to work.
When I try to put my user and stats.bin files inside the folder, bam! achievements description disappears.
I don't really know how those files got corrupted, but I'm glad I've solved the problem...

Interesting. Sorry about the trouble. Could you send me those files? Cheers!

I don't happen to have them anymore.
As further information I can tell you it must have been because the game apparently does not accept save files from previous versions of the game. I presume this because I had to reinstall the game keeping the old save files. Something must not have worked in this process.
Luckily the game allows you to unlock all its features even if you have a naive save file.
