Bug: Tree Limit

Played Level 5 by mistake, quit out and played Level 4 -- the tree limit per asteroid stayed at 3 instead of the normal 5.

Observations:

* Quit to the main menu and started Level 4 again, the tree limit stayed at 3.
* Quit out of entire game, restarted Level 4 and the tree limit was back to 5.
* Quit to menu and started Level 5, then quit to menu and started Level 4 and the tree limit was back to 3.
* Quit to menu and started Level 3, the tree limit was also at 3. Same with Level 2.
* Quit to menu and started Level 1, the number of trees was reset back to 5.
* Quit to menu and started Level 2, the number of trees was back to 5.



This pattern also occurs with Level 6 bringing the tree limit down to 4 for Levels 2, 3, and 4. Level 1, again, resets the tree limit value back to 5.

Although this allows for a further challenge in these levels, I presume it wasn’t the original intent of the creator.

I haven't had a chance to check the code...

It looks like levels 2, 3, and 4 just use the limit that has been set from a previous level. They don't actually set their own limit of 5 trees.

Level 1 sets the limit to 5 (which is the default when starting the game).
Level 5 sets the limit to 3.
Level 6 sets the limit to 4.

If I play one of those levels, then switch to 2, 3, or 4, the limit stays at whatever it was at from the previous level.

I'm on 64 bit vista, if that makes any difference.

I've noticed the same thing. I'm pretty sure it's platform-independent. It is simply that the game doesn't reset to default settings when entering the main menu. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version.
