Special thanks:

  • My cousin Joel Barratt, for his invaluable assistance with optimising the parallax engine, organising the code into seperate functions, and more.
  • AWS, with whom I worked very closely in the final stages of development.  His assistance and feedback were crucial in helping to balance the level for difficulty.
  • Alex, for always being patient and doing his best to answer the hundreds of coding queries that I seem to continually fire off at him.  :>  The "instant fadeout" code for the start of the level was also entirely down to him.
  • The community at large.  Your support is what makes it all worthwhile.  Thankyou.

Dedicated to Alex and Rudolf for their stunning contribution to the field of games.

I don't have time to play all the way through it right now but wow, man. I'd never have believed anything like this was possible with the game.

^ This.

I think my only problem is that the seedling fly through the asteroids that are near the ones they are an, though this is easily explained by saying they fly around it. *****+*, 11/10, 110%, A++, etc., etc., etc.

Yes, that doesn't look quite right, does it?  I'm not sure what could be done to fix that.  Hmm..

At least it doesn't really affect gameplay.

Has anyone beaten it yet, by the way? :>  I found that totally different tactics are required, compared to a more standard level..

I'm wondering if maybe this level allowed mechanics to get in the way of the gameplay too much.  Did you guys think the level was fun to play?  Or was it mostly just something you loaded up, looked around for 5 minutes at all the cool floaty stuff, and then quit?

Great, great, great.

didn't know that something like this was even possible.
sometimes it's quite frustrating when you want to send your seedlings to a nearby star and it just floated out of range but it is a good gameplay overall.

Thank you   ;D

Thanks for the feedback.  :>
Maybe if I do something like this again, I'll make an artificial direction-reversing wall instead, so asteroids that fly off the map just slow down then come flying back again.
