Dyson on USB/Posible bug in use of double moniter setups
« on: April 28, 2009, 01:12:36 AM »
I have found that Dyson work great running of of my USB on multiple computers(windows set ups XP versions multiple) with no issues at all. But when I use it on a desktop with a double monitor setup I get a problem. The game will run fine no issues except when I re-size the screen using Maximize button the video cut out, sound stays but display is white. When I return it to normal (restore down button) the video will come back. This will happen on either side of the dual display. I can toss it from one side to the other no problem.

In addition, when I go into full screen mode from in game options it will have the video blank out as well, but then in full screen I can not get out of it any other way that using task manager to close the program. To continue this issue when I reopen the game it automatically loads and tries to star in full screen mode (I assume that this is because the full screen setting option is saved in game data) and will not have video again.

Hi mate, no idea why full screen isn't working for you, but if you find the file user.settings in the Resources directory in the Dyson install folder, and edit that, and change the full screen option to 0, you should get your window back. If you maximise the window, you should get pretty good screen coverage without having to go full screen.

What resolution are your screens?

Thanks for that info. The resolutions for both screens are 1280x1024. I hope the situation I had is something useful to know for further development of Dyson. I do find it a great little game thus far.
