Title: 2.05 Crashes
Post by: DeniseE on July 17, 2010, 01:29:14 AM: I've just updated Eufloria (full version) from 2.04 to 2.05, and it doesn't get past 'Loading. Please wait.'
(Full stops underneath all turn blue, except last one, if that's any help)

I went back to a copy of the 2.04 '.exe' and it fails after all the 'generating' messages.

If I use the original installation (without removing anything) it all works again. Hurrah! :)

I launch the game (newly patched to 2.05) and I get the beige background and the counting orbs, then my system says that Eufloria has stopped working. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, if that helps. I would really like this resolved soon because I have mislaid my original installation link and can't go back to 2.04!

Plus, I am sure 2.05 will bring things that these great modders can leverage!

I suspect the problem is Win7 64-bit (WOW layer?) related, rather than being a video driver, but I do hope that there's a 2.05 "patch patch" or a 2.051 or something, as I am missing the game already! (I know that's sad).

I hope this doesn't mean that my game history is wiped.

something similar here; full version, just updated, latest video drivers, running under XP SP2. main game works fine, but if i try to run any of the new custom levels, i get a blank screen, albeit with that really nice ambient music.

edit: the initial custom level that the game shipped with works.

further edit: installed the 2.05 patch again and they're all working now. yay!
