Title: New Level - The Battle of Midpoint
Post by: cinemabaroque on November 02, 2009, 07:50:40 AM
Edit: Newer version of this level here http://www.dyson-game.com/smf/index.php?topic=554.0 (http://www.dyson-game.com/smf/index.php?topic=554.0)

This is more plot driven and less of an outright slug fest.  Have fun!

Just download the file into the resources\maps folder of the Eufloria directory, it should then show up in the custom levels screen.

Let me know if you enjoy this or if you have any ideas for new maps.

Ooohh, that was lovely to play. Very good idea withthe central "portal" planet that doesn't look important at first.
At some point you have to defend, expand and attack at the same time, very nice gameplay.
Very balanced too, although way too easy.

I assumed that the level would be almost over when the central asteroid was captured so I wasn't quite ready for what happened when I did take it. If the AI had gone full force I wouldn't have had a chance but they advanced slowly enough for me to get reinforcements in and hold them back. All in all a good level. Definitely a break from the norm - plant dyson trees, advance, repeat!

Nice to see someone making levels - this forum seems like a ghost town most of the time.

Way too easy.  The only thing worth playing is dark matter mode ...  This map should have a dark matter mode....
So my sugguestion would be make another version with more aggressive enemies, or have another galaxy full of bad guys attacking you with them?

I enjoyed it. I anticipated the counter attack, and built up a huge force of 500 plants... I didn't anticipate the scale of the counter attack. It was a fun, big level to conquer.
