160 megs doesn't sound like a lot, but while Eufloria is running even just in the menus it slows down the computer more than a physics simulator program I have. That program can at times use almost the entirety of my accessible RAM (1 gig to run Vista, 1 gig for everything else), but even at full tilt it still doesn't lag other programs like Eufloria does. Do note that I have an onboard Intel graphics chip. I'm thinking these problems could perhaps be related.
I don't think it's a big issue in comparison to the main graphics problem since Eufloria isn't the kind of thing you devote partial attention to, but it's worth paying attention to.
