PS3 Eufloria Players forgotten???
« on: May 18, 2012, 06:26:57 PM »
Hi,I got this game since the first launch in psn and been playing a lot!!
Great idea for a game I must say.
...BUT....are we who play it on ps3 are forgotten from the devs?
No game patch since the beginning for this annoying and console breaking reboot on exit and various little game faults.
And guys plzzz some new maps for the skirmish or for campaign...playing the same over and over isnt that great...

Overall its a nice game and continue the good work!!!

Hi Celenbor,

Sorry, I've no idea what's happening with the PS3 version.  Maybe someone else has more information though? :>

I believe the debs are working on new things, Rudolf said that he's currently working on something to do with Eufloria, you could make your own levels for PS3 if you knew C/C+ or whatever language they use, and also you'd need a jailbroken PS3, but I'm not saying do it, I have a PS3 but have never bought it, if you have an IPad, I suggest buying eufloria on that :P

ok...what??So you suggest to jailbroke my ps3 and lost my bought games and online gaming and write my own levels???Forget that you suggest to pirate their game in their own forum,do you also suggest to solve their problems with the game myself? Is the  point of buying something the aftersale support? And how my current experience with the ps3 eufloria helps buying the ipad eufloria?
I dont mind that much for the limited levels ,as for the reboot on exit as 3 times I ended up with a broken database on ps3.
This is a serious flaw and havent been fixed since october!!

Celenbor, we don't work for Eufloria... it's just a game that we play as a hobby, we are end customers just like you.

It just seemed that you might be blaming us for giving poor customer service... but if that's the case, you've misunderstood the situation.  We're customers too.

Now, on that basis... you can jailbreak your PS3 if you want to, or you can not jailbreak it.  Up to you.
Personally, I wouldn't.  Hold on a little while and see if someone in the know can tell you about PS3 stuff.

I don't know where I said to pirate their games? But if I led you to that impression I am sorry.

No you just got me wrong.I dont blame you.
I started this thread just to ask whats going on about the ps3 port of the eufloria game.I really like it so it turns me down with the mentioned issues.I cross my fingers each time I exit the game, not to crash my system.
If I am on the wrong forum sorry,i thought that this is the official forum of the company and the devs are looking into it.

and something off topic.I played the game on ps3 and PC and I think that playing the game with a controller is much better than the keyboard setup(this is from someone who even though he plays COD on ps3 now, thinks that keyboard and mouse are far superior of controller in every aspect)

I wouldn't say that PS3 users are forgotten, Although they don't post much, Alex and Rudolf look through this forum to check out what's happening, you never know what's happening, why not write a personal email to one of them and address the issue directly?

Alex and Rudolf read this forum too, so they might see it... but as suggested, contacting them directly would work best.

You could also try searching the forums for information about it...

Yep we do read the forum, and we are painfully aware of the exit bug on some ps3's.

We do need to fix that, and we will when we release a patch for PS3, but it is slow going due to the need to earn a living for ourselves and family. The problem is that it is very time consuming to do on PS3, as any change has tpo go through Sony's QA, which takes a looooong time, and the submission of a patch itself is also extremely slow and bureaucratic. (Many weeks)

We had to make the painful decision to focus on some other things first, and then get back to it.

I do apologise, and hope that you can forgive the slow pace.
For what it is worth, this bug came out of nowhere for us after some pretty serious testing befoer we released the game.
