Help! Crash on startup.
« on: November 22, 2008, 05:25:46 PM »
I've tried everything. Administrator mode, all the compatibility modes but nothing works. It just opens the window and says "Dyson is not responding".
I'm running Vista Home Basic if that helps any.
Also, I DO have .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

Hi Rellow,

It's difficult for me to find out what went wrong here as I don't have Vista, but I'll look into a few things for you :)

I also noticed a crash on startup when the .exe starts in windowed mode and is loading up, if I press the maximize button during that startup, it will give me the error "Dyson has encountered a problem and needs to close". Otherwise, if I just wait until it loads then it maximizes normally. I'm guessing this is a just a bug. (Using XP SP3)

I have this situation too many times in Windows XP SP2.
100% reproducible.
Exception    "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
in method ProcGenGame.Game::OnSetVideoMode()
called from ProcGenGame.Game::OnResize()

Yeah, that one is a pain. I'll look into it - it because not all of the textures have been generated yet.
