Extremely poor perfomance on a Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8000)

I will say that the way Eufloria works is tough on any system which can't handle lots of overdraw. Most games don't have that problem so you wouldn't notice.

We wouldn't expect devices which can't handle overdraw as well as iPad 1 (which is pretty bad actually) to run Eufloria well. iPad 1 was quite a struggle but runs decently except on very heavy levels now. The iPad 1 internally runs with LOD Normal and Low Graphics Quality.

However, we have performance issues on the Nexus 7 (aargh, this is what I have) and thew Note looks a recent device too (correct me if I'm wrong, not an Android expert). We think - we hope - it's fixable. We don't see any reason for the performance difference even from the old iPad 1. Apple devices are very good I have to say, but the recent Android devices should be between iPad 1 and 2 in performance on Eufloria.

Apportable:
Hi everyone,

Thanks for reporting this issue - it sounds like there might be a device-specific issue with the Galaxy Note 10.1 which interferes with compatibility.  Based on its specs it shouldn't have too much of a problem running Eufloria, particularly at low graphics settings, so we'll check it out.  Since we don't have this specific device in our testing library, it would help if at least one of you could send a system log over to us for investigation.  Here's how to do this:

1. Install Log Collector, a free Android app, on your tablet: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xtralogic.android.logcollector&hl=en
2. Launch Eufloria and play until the game slows way down (or for a minute or two, if the slowdown is immediate)
3. Launch Log Collector and send a system log to androidsupport [at] eufloria-game [dot] com

Appreciate the help!

UPDATE

We purchased a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet with Android 4.0.4 and tested the most recent version of Eufloria on it, and we could not reproduce any of the issues reported.  It plays really nicely on this tablet, actually.  We also tested touch handling and couldn't find anything remiss.  Since it's almost impossible to fix an issue without reproducing it, we recommend that people who are affected by this issue email us so we can work with you one-on-one to figure it out.  Thanks all!
