requesting a series of maps
« on: July 31, 2010, 02:38:12 AM »
it would be pretty cool if somebody could make a series of maps based on some of the constellations. like since we are talking about asteroids you could make the layout of the asteroids very similar to the stars in the constellation. i would do this but i cant code for my life and am waiting for some sort of visual map editor to make maps

Like one I can actually see. Like I can make an asteroid here and it will automatically code it in. Supreme commander had a visual editor and I made some pretty darn good maps there. Even if it was complicated. I mean just something where you can drag and drop asteroids onto a blank map would be good cause then you could make a basic map without needing to know how far away 1 coordinate unit is

InTouch, if you'd do it but for being unable to code, then why not start by reading the beginners guide? :>

Doubt anyone will develop maps on request unfortunately.  However, it's really not that difficult to learn how to code stuff.  If you have a spare evening that's more than enough time to get the basics figured out.  :>

Yeah I did learn the coding and stuff. Just that I find it really hard to place the asteroids using only coordinates

I don't know how long one coordinate point is. Also I thought I saw a x/y graph on these forums somewhere. Can somebody link me to it?
