Challenging, relaxing, defense or offense, hoard or bum rush, bloody nothing but swarms of tards separating my head from my body.
This level is broken. 29 attempts, 29 failures. My first loss.
What are the odds that after 29 plays, ranging from 30 seconds to eight minutes, that I would never see a single flower?

Been playing RTS games since Warzone 2100 and C&C, even Battlezone.
I understand this level may be possible but my probability window has not appeared and I'm loath to waste any further time.

Level 18 is not broken and is quite completable, but it was definitely too difficult on relaxing mode for sure.

The problem is that it's strategic, and early on on iOS you can get caned too easily if unlucky (it does sometimes take me 3 or 4 goes, where as I can do almost all the others first go). We're submitting an update this week where we address this as it seems a lot more players are reaching it than in the past. There is also a fix for a rare crash related to Laser Pods incidentally.

The non iOS versions have already been updated with these changes so any feedback on the updated L18 appreciated.

We really need a strategy guide for this level though, and perhaps it should have been level 24!

The enemy seedlings have a small number of pre-programmed moves. Each of the four main asteroids will do one big move to a pre-determined location. The key is simply moving to the soon-to-be-empty asteroid as that move is made.

At the very start move top right almost straight away. Shortly after, move bottom left when that team attacks the central asteroid. Don't even try and defend asteroids until this point - you'll just waste seedlings.

From here on you have to make decisions based upon what's happening around you, but the bottom right asteroid and top left asteroid will also make similar big moves to the middle. Whether you defend the bottom left asteroid or not is debatable. Meanwhile, collect fellow seedlings and perhaps try and grow a few, being careful of the 40 seedling per asteroid limit (stash seedlings on the small, outer asteroids).

There are no flowers on this level - by design.

Also, if you weren't aware, go to Options - Unlock and you can unlock Chapter 4, and just continue on level 19.

(The other problem with level 18 is that it's a very sudden change of tactics. Some people get it, some people don't.)

I love this level though. I got it straight away! However, there was definitely too much randomness going on.

The updated L18 protects certain asteroids when the player makes their move, as long as they make the right move. Also a few extra seedlings. On Relaxed mode, the enemy has less seedlings and generally Relaxed has been made a bit easier.

As an aside, I don't think any of us are happy with Relaxed mode generally hence why Rudolf has a new game mode planned.
