Brilliant naming of the game and all. Great game, great sound, a few minor gripes about not being able to set a "group point" or "spawn point" for new seedlings. (Or the "trade routes" style of seedling transfer that could be automated).
That said, a great vision for the game would be to have a Dyson Sphere that would surround the level you are on if you completely conquered it.
Which would lead to your ability to fight off the next level / next enemies in a fractal and exponential jump.
Spore-like (in a vague sense) but more around Type 1/2/3/4 civilizations. That there would be multiple games within each level, but when you jumped a level, your civilization would play differently (or at least most powerfully).
I know that's a lot to take in from a game-design perspective, but if you're going with Freeman Dyson, you have a lot of material.
Anyhow, great game.
/ancillary thoughts (may not make sense to those that don't understand what i meant above):
-have individual asteroids nearby a star
-use a central gravity well (star) to attract asteroids and "planets" (fancy asteroids)
-next level, have those solar systems inhabit part of a galaxy
-next level, have those galaxies inhabit part of a universe
//simply by having 5 levels per "uber-level"
///the larger the mass/energy you take over (asteriod, vs planet, vs star, vs galaxy, vs universe) = better seedlings
.... and thus is life and the universe and everything. 42.
